2011 - 2012 SCHOOL YEAR

TABLET PROGRAM MANAGER

St. Thomas High School seeks a Tablet Program Manager to lead the school’s efforts to plan, implement and support a school-wide one-to-one tablet program.

Basic Responsibilities:

1. Document a program plan, including budget and timeline, for launch for the 2012-2013 school year.
2. Work with internal and external resources to ensure the program’s success.
3. Review potential equipment providers and models, prepare recommendations and provide comparisons, rationale and pricing.
4. Coordinate procurement of tablet devices and negotiate warranty and repair programs.
5. Become expert in resident tablet operating software, recommend additional useful applications, and identify and procure tablet management software.
6. Coordinate with Technology Coordinator to analyze infrastructure, security and redundancy systems.
7. Receive, program and delpoy software and hardware.
8. Recommend and write use, damage, loan and other policies and guidelines.
9. Work with academic department deans to develop instructional methods and convert teaching processes and documents, including curriculum integration, classroom management and professional development.
10. Work with Principal, Director of Admissions and Director of Communications to plan and execute program marketing plan.
11. Develop and implement help desk systems to answer questions, troubleshoot, and provide loaner units to minimize downtime.

The Tablet Program Manager will be accountable to the Principal. This contract position has potential for transition to full-time staff member in August 2012 to maintain the program, integrate each incoming freshman class, stay abreast of technological developments and refine the program.

The position begins immediately. Starting hours for the position are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, with additional evening and weekend time as necessitated by the program, particularly during installation phases.

2012 - 2013 SCHOOL YEAR

HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

St. Thomas High School seeks a Head Football Coach, beginning in the 2012-13 school year. The Head Football Coach will be accountable to the Principal and Athletic Director and will be a teaching member of the faculty.

Qualifications:

• Prior head coaching experience at the high school level or a minimum of five (5) years as a coordinator (offensive/defensive).
• Ability to work well with students, teachers and parents.
• Some coaching experience in a Private/Catholic school setting is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• A State of Texas or TCCED teaching certificate.
