Mr. James Bradshaw Earthman

Born August 21, 1904 in Houston Texas. A graduate of St. Thomas High School and Rice University. Married Blanche Bastien on September 4, 1933, at Dallas, Texas. Children are James B. Earthman, III, Thomas P. Earthman, John A. Earthman, Robert L. Earthman, Michael R. Earthman, Donald C. Earthman, Bruce E. Earthman and William J. Earthman-a student at Georgetown University, died-1962. A Daughter, Blanche Mayer of Atlanta, Georgia, wife of Randolph Mayer, Attorney.

All eight of the Earthman boys graduated from St. Thomas High School. Chairman of the board of Earthman's, Inc.; Chairman of the board and founder of Mission Life Insurance Company; founder of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Has been President of Harris County, South East Texas, Texas Funeral Directors Association. Knight of the Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. A founding trustee of the University of St. Thomas. Past President of Galveston-Diocese Council of Catholic Men. Past President of the Houston Holy Name Union. Past Faithful Navigator of Msgr. G. A. Wilhelm General Assembly, Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus. Past President Houston Serra Club and Serra International.

Inducted into St. Thomas Hall of Honor February 12, 1976.
