Course Prerequisites 2010 - 2011

SOPHOMORES

General Prerequisites

  1. All students are required to take 6 subjects + two of the following: Health, Computer Applications, Speech or PE.
  2. 6 credits are required to be registered as a Sophomore.
  3. Students may not repeat subjects at St. Thomas. Summer School is required to make up deficiencies.

Required Sophomore Subjects

  • Theology II
  • English II
  • Modern World History
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Language II
  • Two of the following: Computer Applications (1/2 year), Health (1/2 year), Speech (1/2 year), PE (1/2 year)

JUNIORS

General Prerequisites

  1. All students are required to take 6 subjects, a computer elective + P.E. or Band.
  2. 13 credits are required to be registered as a Junior. Among these are 2 credits in Theology, English, History, Mathematics, Science, Language.
  3. Students may not repeat subjects at St. Thomas. Summer School is required to make up deficiencies.
  4. AP classes have a test fee of $85.00

Required Junior Subjects

  • Theology III
  • English III
  • US History
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Computer Elective
  • P.E. or Band

SENIORS

General Prerequisites

  1. All students are required to take 7 credits.
  2. 20 credits are absolutely required to be registered as a Senior. Among these there must be 3 credits in Theology, Math, English, History, Science; 2 credits in Language.
  3. Students may not repeat subjects at St. Thomas. Failures in required courses must be made up in Summer School. Seniors who fail required courses in the fall semester must make them up in night school during the spring semester.
  4. AP classes have a test fee of $85.00.

Required Senior Subjects

  • Theology IV
  • English IV
  • Government / Economics
  • Mathematics
  • P.E. or Band
