Applying to St. Thomas High School
- Click here for information to complete the online application. The application must be completed by January 15, 2012, and must include the $75 application fee.
- Print and complete the transcript request form. This form must be sent to your son’s current school. We require all transcripts be submitted directly from your son’s school after the first semester has been completed. This transcript should include 7th and entire first semester 8th grades and standardized test scores. Please do not request that your son’s school send these transcripts prior to the end of the first semester. They must be submitted no later than January 15, 2012. (Those schools that finish their first semester after January 15 will be notified that they have additional time.)
- Print and complete the top of each recommendation form: the English teacher recommendation form, the Math teacher recommendation form and the Principal/Counselor recommendation form.) These forms should be submitted to your son’s school after December 1, 2011, and should be submitted by his school to St. Thomas High School no later than January 15, 2012. These recommendation forms are the common recommendation forms for all Catholic high schools. You need to sign only one of each form before submitting to your son’s current school. Those school officials will complete the form, copy them and then submit to each school your mark on the form.
- Take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) on January 28, 2012. If your son is taking the test at St. Thomas High School, please pre-register for the test by downloading the HSPT Registration form or you may pick up a form at Open House. Walk-in Registration will also be taken on the test day. The testing fee is $50. Applicants must request on the HSPT that their scores be sent to St. Thomas.
- Apply for financial assistance before February 1, 2012. Financial assistance information will be available after December 1. After December 1, 2011, click the link for the financial assistance page.
Reminder: The Application for Admission fee is $75 and the Testing Fee is an additional $50.
