St. Thomas Cheerleaders

St. Thomas High School is proud of our cheerleading squads which are comprised of girls from Duchesne Academy (DASH), Incarnate Word Academy (IWA), and St. Agnes Academy (SAA). Tryouts for the coming year will be in April. We practice once a week from 4:15pm-6:15pm, until the end of basketball season.

The varsity cheerleaders attend all of the football games and JV attends all Home game and the “big” Away games. Same holds true for basketball. Our squad went to Nationals two years ago and took fifth place. With the right talent and right attitude, we are looking to return to the National Championship and win it.

Cheerleader Coach - Kristi Sharp, graduated from Southern Methodists University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Corporate Communication Public Affairs. Kristi has been part of a competitive cheerleading team as well as on a collegiate cheerleading squad. Varsity’s Head cheerleader is Ginny Dean and Co-Captain Marianne Adler. JV’s Head Cheerleader is Caitlin Doonan and Co-Captain Nicole Lazarz. All of these girls display strong leadership capabilities and efficient communication skills.
