Steven L. Hall - 1966

Steve Hall graduated from All Saints Elementary School (in the Heights) before entering St. Thomas in the fall of 1962. He played on the freshmen teams in football, basketball, and baseball and then moved up to varsity level for the next three years and lettered on all three teams each year. Steve was named All District twice in football as a defensive and offensive end on teams that had winning records of 11 – 1 in 1964 and 1965. He was named All State three times as a center on the basketball teams and twice All State as a catcher in baseball. The varsity teams on which Steve played won eight district titles and five state championships. In the summer of 1964, Steve also played on the Colt League World Championship baseball team that was primarily made up of St. Thomas players, and also played on the 1965 State Champion American Legion baseball team.
   
Steve was awarded athletic scholarships from the University of Houston and Sam Houston State University. After graduating from Sam Houston State University, he became involved in the beverage industry and has lived and worked all over the country.
   
Steve has been married to Nancy for 37 years and they have three children. Their son Michael graduated from Texas A&M University and is a sales executive. Daughter Denise Hall-Burton is a doctor; she graduated from the University of Texas and the University of Pittsburgh Medical School where she is currently completing her residency in anesthesiology. Denise is married to David and has a son, Jacob. Daughter Sara graduated from Texas A&M University and the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. She is also a doctor and is completing her residency in anesthesiology at the Harvard Medical School in Boston.
