On Saturday, November 5th, Cemo Auditorium will be transformed into a red and white Louisiana-themed experience to celebrate the annual St. Thomas Auction and Gala. Gala chairs Kim & Ken Alo, Ann & Joe Garnett, Evie & John Grubb and Nancy & John Ladd are planning a memorable evening dedicated to raising funds for the St. Thomas operating fund.
In addition to the fabulous seated dinner; live, big board and silent auctions and dancing; the evening will honor Fran & Weldon Granger. The Grangers, who hail from Louisiana and are proud of their Cajun roots, have been tireless and dedicated supporters of our school. Fran was an active St. Thomas mom and served the Mothers’ Club as an officer. Weldon currently serves as one of the original St. Thomas School Board members and has also played an active role on the St. Thomas Foundation Board and Capital Campaign Advisory Committee. Fran and Weldon are the parents of two St. Thomas graduates, John ’97 and Jason ’00.
Beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Silent and Big Board Auctions, the evening will be emceed by Fr. Kevin Story and will feature dinner catered by Frankie Mandola (’65) and Damian’s Cucina Italiana. Festivities will culminate in a Live Auction by Channel 13’s Don Nelson and dancing to Zydeco sounds.
Table underwriting opportunities are available now for tables of 10 and couples, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. Underwriting without table commitments is also available from $1,500 to $7,500. Individual tickets will be available in October for $200.
The auction team is also looking for auction item donations. Airline tickets, hotel rooms, weekend homes, hunts, fishing trips and gift certificates are always popular.
