St. Thomas Music Guild
The St. Thomas Music Guild is the parent organization for the music program, consisting of a group of parents, alumni, and friends
organized to promote, assist, and financially support the Music
Department of St. Thomas High School.
Parents of students who participate in the music program are automatically members of the Music Guild. Their purpose is to assist with the activities of the music program at STH. It takes the participation of all members to ensure the success of the program. Some of the areas parents assist in are: chaperoning trips (music contests, football games, performances, etc.); ordering and distributing performance shirts, tuxedos, and letter jackets; provision of refreshments at games and trips; organizing receptions for concerts and the annual Music Guild Banquet; and fundraising to support activities. Our main fundraiser is the making and selling of Homecoming Mums. Proceeds from the sale of homecoming mums help fund activities and equipment for everyone in the Music Program at St. Thomas.
Parent participation is the key to the success of the program; attendance at Music Guild meetings is important to keep up to date with activities. Parents, family members, and friends are encouraged to volunteer their efforts in a variety of ways in support of the Music Program.
