Senior award winners announced

Seniors Patrick Pinkerton (Principal's Leadership & Service Award winner), Principal Rev. Patrick Fulton, C.S.B., Danny Amsler (Allnoch Award winner) and Trey Bagley (Gaelens GDK Award winner).The annual Academic Awards Assembly was held Wednesday evening in Cemo Auditorium. The students receiving academic letters were recognized first. An academic letter is earned by any student who makes it into the St. Thomas Club in consecutive semesters. Students also received medals and/or certificates for TAPPS State Competitions in Academics and Fine Arts.

A number of special awards were distributed at the assembly, beginning with the Campus Ministry Award, which was given to Senior Daniel Krizak. The following are the other honorees:

  • University of Rochester Bausch & Lomb Science Award – Benjamin Ahn
  • University of Rochester Frederick Douglass and Susan B Anthony Humanities and Social Sciences Award – Christopher Patton
  • University of Rochester Xerox Award for Information Technology – Nicholas Matthews
  • Appointment to the US Naval Academy – Jonathan Freel
  • Alumni Association 3rd Place Scholarship Contest – Donald "Trey" Bagley
  • Alumni Association 2nd Place Scholarship Contest – Christopher Jardine
  • Alumni Assocation 1st Place Scholarship Contest – Nicholas Witkowski
  • Sewanee Award for Excellence in Writing – Michael Prappas
  • National Merit Letters of Commendation - Dominic Airola, Jeffrey Barnwell, Bennett Dodson, Erik Dubec, Christopher Jardine, Navin Kalluri, Daniel Krizak, Thomas Loughlin, Sky Newberry, Jose Noguera, Patrick Pinkerton, Nicholas Rossi, Thomas Surratt, Max Tao, Jackson Wiederhoeft and Nicholas Yuan.
