Round-Up Sunday was a blast this year and a great time was had by all in attendance.  Some of the highlights included the popularity of the STH Jail House and Alumni Over-Under table, many valiant (and often short-lived) attempts at riding the mechanical bull and the great range of food options available in Cemo Auditorium, including a booth serving Little Big's sliders from Bryan Caswell '91.  The entertainment was top notch as well, with the faculty band "No Late Work" drawing quite a crowd and creating a buzz with their performance.

St. Thomas students came through yet again, smashing the the old Round-Up record by selling $350,440 worth of raffle tickets.  By the time the raffle was held Sunday evening, the total sales had reached $355,052.  For a list of the top ten sellers, see below.  Congratulations to the following winners of the raffle:

2010 Ford F150 XLT truck:  Joe O'Kelley

52" flat screen TV:  Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Lafferty

$1000 in gift certificates:  Joe Lopez

Round-Up Coordinator Father Storey continues to come up with ways to keep the student body excited about selling tickets.  This year, he jumped over flames to kick off the first day of raffle sales, brought in magician Curt Miller to perform, and included special alumni guests such as Johnny Carrabba '77 and Lieutenant John Seiter '99.  Seiter is a Navy Seal and two-time war veteran, and called in from Afghanistan during announcements one morning.

100% of the proceeds from Round-Up go toward financial assistance, helping young men from all walks of life benefit from the school's excellent education.

"Round-Up is most important because it motivates students to help out one another," he said.  "Their primary motivation is to raise funds so school is accessible to as many families as we can help, and their secondary motivation is days off."
