EAGLE FIGHT NEVER DIES!

Athletics at St. Thomas High school has a tradition of excellence, which strives to succeed on the field of competition and in the development of student character and faith.

For generations the mission of Eagle Athletics is for our student-athletes to learn the valuable lessons of dedication, loyalty and discipline yielding much more than just performance outcomes in their sport, but to compete and grow through life-building skills including teamwork, camaraderie, discipline, respect and diligence.

St. Thomas offers 12 sports with multiple team levels while competing in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial School (TAPPS), capturing 18 state championships since 2012 including the 2016 track and field crown for the milestone 100th state title in school’s rich and storied history.

  • On 10/16 the STH Varsity Eagles won the Arbor Cup played at Memorial Park. The team was led by Andrei Bax, Patrick Smetek and Cristian Capasso.
  • On 10/22 the STH JV Eagles won the Pearland ISD Invitational played at Country Place Golf Club. The Eagles lapped the 24 team field winning by 16 shots over second place Pearland High School. Maxwell Zaebst, Sam Smith, JD Perez, Colin Little and George Rentz played stellar golf to led the Eagles to victory. Maxwell Zaebst finished as third place individual medalist in the 115 player field and Sam Smith finished 5th.
  • On 10/29 Eagle golf travelled to April Sound Golf Club where it competed in the Conroe ISD golf tourney. Led by Posie Clinton’s 77, Patrick Smetek’s 77 and Andrei Bax’s 78 the Eagles Won first place. Kyle Dietert and Sam Smith also contributed to the victory.
