National Honor Society
The National Honor Society is open by invitation only to St. Thomas High School juniors and seniors. Admission is based on character, scholarship, leadership, and service. All students who qualify academically are asked to submit information concerning their qualifications while at St. Thomas in the above areas. Academic eligibility is defined as a 92 cumulative GPA at the end of four or six semesters.
A faculty committee then decides which students will represent St. Thomas in the National Honor Society.
The members of the NHS serve the school in several ways. They offer tutoring every day before and after school to any St. Thomas student who wishes to come for help. NHS members also serve as hosts for Academic Assemblies and as ushers for graduation.
National Honor Society members are involved in organization activities approximately one hour per week, plus meetings and special events.
