Respect Life Club
The Respect Life Club seeks to promote and reinforce the teachings of the Church on the value of human life. The group's mission is based in the writings of John Paul II, The Gospel of Life and Cardinal Bernadin, The Consistent Ethic of Life. The activities of the club highlight these principles in an effort to increase an appreciation for the value of life. In particular, the organization focuses on the specific life issues of abortion, capital punishment, poverty, violence and war. The organization participates in the diocesan respect life events, Bishop's Respect Life Mass, fund-raising dinners, pro-life walks, and educational programs. Students are encouraged in conjunction with the Christian Justice class to visit the prisons. Outreach and service to those in need is part of the mission of the group.
