Writer's Club

The purpose of Writer's Club is to provide a forum and association for students interested in writing for possible publication, for those interested in making writing a part of their lives, and for those who share a common interest in reading and writing for personal pleasure.

The club will meet twice a month; critique groups will set their own meeting times. The purpose of critique groups will be to evaluate each other's current writing projects, offer constructive criticism, support, and to "talk through" effective approaches to individual writing dilemmas.

Club members will be encouraged to contribute work to "The Carom", the St. Thomas literary magazine and to attend public readings by published writers and to organize events, which will highlight the value of creative writing for the rest of the St. Thomas community.

Meeting days and times will be set at the beginning of the school years by club members with their moderator.
