Take Us Higher: ISEE Test Prep Class

Houston-area Catholic and private high schools require entrance exams as a part of the admissions process. Testing for admissions for the 2023-2024 school year begins in November 2023.

St. Thomas High School is once again offering classes for current eighth grade students in preparation for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). The classes are coed and open to all students who intend to apply to those schools.

The classes provide tips and strategies, as well as instruction in the content areas tested:

• Reading Comprehension
• Verbal Reasoning
• Quantitative Reasoning
• Mathematics Achievement

Instructors will be Mr. Rod Takacs, a veteran high school teacher and current Dean of Students at St. Thomas High School, as well as Mrs. Camille Hagerty, a former eighth grade teacher at St. Christopher Catholic School and in the Goose Creek and La Porte School Districts.

Currently, three sets of Saturday classes are scheduled. The current schedule is as follows:

Class 1

Class 2

• Saturday, October 21, 2023, 9:00 AM- 11:45 AM
• Saturday, October 28, 2023, 9:00 AM- 11:45 AM
• Saturday, November 4, 2023, 9:00 AM- 11:45 AM

Class 3

• Saturday, November 18, 2023, 9:00 AM- 11:45 AM
• Saturday, December 2, 2023, 9:00 AM- 11:45 AM
• Saturday, December 9, 2023, 9:00 AM- 11:45 AM
