Financial Aid

St. Thomas High School believes all those who truly want and qualify for a Basilian education should receive a Basilian Education regardless of economic ability.

Tuition for the 2019-20 school year is tentatively set at $19,100. A non-refundable, tentative registration fee of $550 and a non-refundable tuition deposit of $500 are due at the time of registration. A student is not considered registered until the registration fee and tuition deposit have been paid in full. St. Thomas reserves the right to deny re-enrollment at its sole discretion. Tuition for the upcoming year is set and announced in February.

Nearly one-third of our students receive some type of scholarship or financial aid each year.

The process for applying for financial aid begins with reading our Financial Aid and Tuition fact sheets:

Please read these documents carefully as they explain what you can expect and the steps you should take to assure a successful application process.  It is very important for you to carefully study these fact sheets before you begin your application for financial aid.

St. Thomas uses SmartAid, an online portal, to gather and assess financial and personal information for financial aid decisions. St. Thomas will only review your financial aid application after your application in SmartAid is complete. You will need to assure you’ve completed the application fully and honestly. The SmartAid application for the 2019-20 school year will be available on the school’s website on or about December 1, 2018. Please note that no applications will be accepted directly at St. Thomas High School.
Applications for financial aid for the 2019-20 school year need to be completed by February 1, 2019. Those that have completed by that date will be considered in the first round of awards which will be distributed in mid-March. Applications received or completed after February 1, 2019 and/or where tax returns are received after February 20, 2019 will be considered on a rolling basis when and if funds are made available. If you are a late applicant, you will be contacted if funds become available.
If you have any questions regarding the financial aid application, please contact Smart Aid directly. Their Help Desk is available at the email address and toll free number below; they are available 24/7 to assist you with your application. Unfortunately, contacting St. Thomas directly for assistance will delay the assessment of your application.

At St. Thomas we take our motto of Teaching Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge to heart. We encourage you to approach your financial aid application with the honesty and integrity we expect from your sons and our St. Thomas families.
