Peyton Matocha ’19 tied the state record in winning the high jump title at the TAPPS state track and field championships at the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium at Baylor University in Waco.

Matocha cleared 6-04 to match his same performance in placing second at state as a freshman in 2016 and equaled the state standard first set in 2005.
