PARENTS

St. Thomas High School is a vibrant community that exists because of our dedicated and loyal parents, whose selfless commitment to our school advances our sacred mission.

There are many ways that parents can give their time and talent to the St. Thomas community. Our students are not the only ones who make friends for life through shared experiences at this school. Parents who get involved are enriched by new friendships and the spirit of service that is part of the St. Thomas tradition.

For more than a half century, the St. Thomas Mothers’ Club has served as a vibrant and invaluable volunteer support group, assisting in more than 30 events throughout the academic year, including the annual Auction & Gala, our signature fundraiser Round Up and culminating with the annual Style Show & Luncheon.

This organization has a rich history of collaborating with school administrators to facilitate many of the social and cultural activities that make St. Thomas special and impact the overall success of the school.

Eagle mothers are encouraged to attend the Mothers’ Club general meetings to learn about the many ways they can volunteer to support St. Thomas. For every mom there is a fun and useful role that matches her interests and talents. We can’t wait for you to join us!

The St. Thomas Booster Club is an energetic and dedicated group of parents, alumni and friends organized to promote, assist and financially support Eagle Athletics, led by the Booster Club Board under the guidance of the St. Thomas principal and athletic director.

The Booster Club annually generates a significant financial contribution to Eagle Athletics, primarily through the Eagles’ Pride sports magazine as well as the sale of concessions and Eagle merchandise.

The Music Guild works with the music directors to organize and oversee the activities of the department. It raises funds every year by making and selling mums and armbands for St. Thomas’ Homecoming game. Throughout football season and at performances and competitions, the Music Guild supports the students by supplying food and drinks and serving as chaperones. The Music Guild hosts a reception after the fall, Christmas and spring concerts. For more information contact Betsy Denson.

The Drama Guild provides support for the spring and fall productions put on by the talented actors at St. Thomas and Drama Director Dan Green. Parents help with many facets of the production – sets, costumes, programs, ticket sales, concessions, hair and make-up, etc. For more information, contact drama-moderator@students.sths.org.

The St. Thomas Forensics Guild helps coordinate parents to support our speech and debate team. They recruit volunteer judges and parents to help with the middle school tournament hosted at St. Thomas each year. Forensic Guild parents also help by judging at tournaments in which the St. Thomas Debate team competes. For more information, contact Anita Bryant.

Eagle House is a coalition of parents with the common objective to foster a school and community environment that encourages teenagers to make healthy choices, particularly by choosing to be alcohol and drug free.

Becoming an Eagle House member makes a bold statement to this community: “We are authentically committed to the St. Thomas mission and the Basilian motto of ‘Teach Me Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge.’ We place the safety of our son, his fellow Eagles and their friends above all else.”
