John Miggins ‘17 captured two individuals events while Luke Pelletier ‘17 and Shane Williams ‘19 each added single victories, and the three contributed to strong relay results as Eagle Swimming debuted with an impressive performance in the season-opening dual meet with Bellaire.

Miggins (2:17.34) paired with Pelletier (2:17.79) to produce the top two times in the 200 yard individual medley and then set the pace in the 200 yard backstroke (1:00.51) with Williams finishing third (1:01.15).

Williams won the 200 yard freestyle (1:59.64) and Pelletier the 100 yard breaststroke (1:07.17).

The three teamed with Jonathan Du ‘17 for early momentum in the meet’s first event to win the 200 yard medley relay (1:47.54), and Du and Pelletier later combined with Adam Lawrence ‘17 and Barrett Gregory ‘18 to seize the 200 yard freestyle relay (1:42.85).

Miggins, Kenneth Dang ‘18, Evan Lawson ‘19 and Williams took second in the 400 yard freestyle relay (3:54.6).

The Eagles also picked up encouraging 3-4 results from Hunter Ngayen ‘19 (1:16.04) and Du (1:16.44) in the 100 yard butterfly, and Lawrence (1:00.25) and Dang (1:00.54) in the 100 yard freestyle.
