Financial Aid

St. Thomas High School believes all those that truly want and qualify for a Basilian education can receive a Basilian Education regardless of economic ability. Tuition for the 2016-17 school year is $16,500. A non-refundable registration fee of $550 and a non-refundable tuition deposit of $500 are due at the time of registration. A student is not considered registered until the registration fee and tuition deposit have been paid in full. St. Thomas reserves the right to deny re-enrollment at its sole discretion.

Nearly one-third of our students receive some type of scholarship or financial aid each year. The process for applying for financial aid begins with reading our Financial Aid and Tuition fact sheets:

SmartAid Online Instructions

Please read these documents carefully as they will explain what you can expect and steps you should take to assure a successful application process.  It is very important for you to carefully study these fact sheets before you begin your application for financial aid.

St. Thomas utilizes SmartAid, an on-line portal, to gather and assess financial and personal information on which financial aid decisions are based. Only after your application at SmartAid is complete will St. Thomas review your application. It is your responsibility to assure you’ve completed the application fully and honestly. The SmartAid application will be available at the link below beginning on December 1, 2015.  Please note that no applications will be accepted directly by St. Thomas High School.

Applications completed and received by February 1 will be reviewed during the month of February. Please note that 2015 Tax Returns must be submitted by February 21 to be considered during the primary allocation of financial aid funds. This is a mandatory requirement.

Financial aid awards will be communicated via email the week of March 14, 2016. Those applications received after February 1 and/or where tax returns are received after February 21 will be considered on a rolling basis when and if funds are made available. If you are a late applicant, you will be contacted if funds become available.

If you have any questions regarding the financial aid application, please contact Smart Aid directly. Their Help Desk is available at the email address or toll free number below and they are available 24/7 to assist you with your application. Contacting St. Thomas directly for assistance will unfortunately delay the assessment of your application.

At St. Thomas we take our motto of Teaching Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge to heart. We encourage you to approach your financial aid application with the honesty and integrity we expect from your sons and our St. Thomas families.
