On February 9, St. Thomas celebrated four seniors who plan to play their respective sports at the collegiate level. Obinna Umeh, Michael Taylor II, and Javaughn Waldron will all play football at their universities next fall, and Austin Barrett will continue fencing at a high level on the Sacred Heart University team.
These four Eagle athletes sat with their families and loved ones in the Hall of Honor as the school community gathered to wish them well on their future athletic journeys. Vice President of Mission, Father James Murphy, blessed the ceremony, and Athletic Director Mike Netzel shared words of wisdom with each young man as they celebrated their paths to success at St. Thomas.
